Daily Life with high blood pressure: Living life to the full
Q. I am thinking about taking a year out to travel. Will high blood pressure affect my plans?
A. If you plan to be away from home for an extended time then it is important to make sure that your blood pressure is well controlled and stable before you go.
Preparation is important - make sure you know what medicines you need and have plenty of supplies or know where you will get more. Get the right travel insurance and take a blood pressure monitor with you so you can check your readings. Check with your doctor or nurse before you go.
