Going up in the world: Know your Numbers! posters could be seen at many national rail stations, along with selected tram and London Underground stations
Commuters were encouraged to get their blood pressure on the right track as part of a national rail advertising campaign during Know your Numbers! Week 2009.
Could you be the one in three? Poster for national rail advertising campaign for Know your Numbers 2009
Hundreds of our charity's posters asking 'Could you be the one in three?' (pictured here) appeared at national train stations, and selected tram and underground stations across the country in a bid to raise awareness of the importance of knowing your blood pressure numbers.
Platforms and tickets halls at around 60 train stations - from Scotland to Cornwall - featured the posters which encourage every adult to find their nearest 'Pressure Station' for a free blood pressure check during the event.
The adverts could also be seen on trams in Croydon, Birmingham, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton, along with the capital's underground escalators at Liverpool Street, Balham, London Bridge, Brixton, Waterloo and Tooting Bec tube stations.
The campaign aims to encourage people, like busy commuters, who may not otherwise have time to make an appointment with their GP, to take advantage of free blood pressure checks on offer at convenient venues like train stations, shopping centres and workplaces during Know your Numbers! Week.
