Free blood pressure checks 'Asda' be good!
Shoppers and staff at ASDA in Clapham Junction couldn't resist the Blood Pressure Association's special offer of free blood pressure checks on Friday 11 September 2009.
The one-day only offer was available from the BPA's mobile screening van, sited in the supermarket's car park.

Hundreds of posters appeared across the UK at train stations, and selected tram and London Underground stations to encourage commuters to get their free blood pressure check.

Van creates a buzz
Brixton Market was buzzing with free checks during Know your Numbers! Week 2009.
We tested shoppers using our screening van on Electric Avenue - we hope the results weren't too much of a shock!

Hundreds of shoppers at the Treaty Centre in Hounslow had a free blood pressure check at a Pressure Station run by the Blood Pressure Association as part of Know your Numbers! Week 2009.

Taxi drivers test their 'Knowledge'
In London and Edinburgh, black-cab taxi drivers had their blood pressure tested. It was England's Lionhearts that proved to be better than Scotland's Bravehearts in the battle for best blood pressure.

But we don't advise taking a rollercoaster ride before having your free blood pressure test! (Sitting quietly for 5 minutes is the more accepted approach to getting an accurate reading...)
