KYN Week 07 Evaluation Report

Nurses, pharmacists, doctors, occupational health officers, fitness trainers and anyone trained to take blood pressure as part of their professional role can take part in Know your Numbers! Week. By filling in our online forms, you will be joining thousands of colleagues who offer free blood pressure checks at official Pressure Stations at public, workplace or other community venues across the UK.

What you will receive
The Blood Pressure Association provides all healthcare professionals with Resource Packs containing leaflets, posters, testing guidelines and other materials needed to run a successful blood pressure testing and awareness event.

How to register
To take part this year, simply register here to complete a Contact Form and Pressure Station Location Form for each venue offering free blood pressure checks. Please ensure that you can meet the Terms and Conditions outlined in the Contact Form before registering to take part.

Registration Deadline: Wednesday 23 July 2008
You must complete all Contact Forms and Pressure Station Location Forms by 23 July 2008 to receive your resources.

As a charity, we are keen to avoid unnecessary printing and postage costs
To avoid waste and unnecessary cost, please estimate how many people you will test at your Pressure Station. As a rough guide one dedicated tester can check 7-8 people per hour. With more than 2,500 Pressure Stations receiving resources from the Blood Pressure Association, overestimating can cost us a lot of money.

Commercial participants
There is a small required cost for participating commercial organisations.
We offer a pack of information for each person tested and charge £10 +VAT for every set of 50 packs ordered, which works out at just 20p per person tested.
• Commercial organisations running less than 15 Pressure Stations: simply complete the online registration forms and an invoice will be sent to you after the week.
• Commercial organisations running more than 15 Pressure Stations: contact Mark Hooley at mhooley@sgul.ac.uk or call 020 8772 4992 to discuss cost options.

Not-for-profit participants
We encourage not-for-profit organisations to contribute to the cost of participation by making a suggested donation of £10 for every set of 50 information packs ordered. Make an online donation.

Online registration is the simplest and most cost effective registration method. If you are unable to register in this way and need a form faxed/mailed to you, or you have a query, please contact the Know your Numbers! Team on 020 8772 4992 or email mhooley@sgul.ac.uk
