How you can mark a loved one’s contribution
There are a number of ways that you can mark the contribution of a special person: from making an In Memoriam donation to encouraging well wishers to make a positive gift towards lowering the blood pressure of many thousands throughout the UK.
Making an In Memoriam donation
When you make a donation to celebrate the life of a loved one, we will send a personal letter to the next of kin to let them know. Out of respect for both the family and individual donors, the letter lists the donors and the amount raised but does not list the amounts of individual gifts.
To make sure that we do not intrude too greatly on the next of kin at such a difficult time, and to ensure that we can supply the fullest list possible, we send our letter 5 weeks after we receive the first donation.
You can donate by post or by phone, but please remember to include the following details:
- Your name and address. This is so we can acknowledge receipt of your donation.
- The name of the loved one and the date of their funeral
- The next of kin’s name and address, if you have them. So we can send our personal letter to them.
By Post:
Please send a letter that includes the details listed above, or use the form below, and your cheque, made payable to the Blood Pressure Association. You can increase your donation by filling in a Gift Aid form, or ticking the declaration on the form below.
Please send your letter or donation form, cheque and Gift Aid form to:
In Memoriam, The Blood Pressure Association, 60 Cranmer Terrace, London SW17 0QS
By Phone
Please call us on 020 8772 4994 with the details listed above. We are able to accept donations from all debit cards and Mastercard and VISA credit cards.
At the funeral
We are able supply an In Memoriam Collection pack that you can use at the funeral if you would like people to make a donation on the day.
The pack contains donation envelopes that you can personalise with the name of the person being remembered and information sheets about the work of the Blood Pressure Association.
Please call us on 020 8772 4994 or email info@bpassoc.org.uk to request an In Memoriam Collection pack. Please allow at least 5 working days to ensure that the pack reaches you in time.
Online tribute
Another way to honour a loved one is to set up a Tribute Fund web page in their name. Family and friends can then donate via this page both now and in the future.
