Actor Timothy West has highlighted the tragic consequences of undetected high blood pressure and described his own experience of the condition in a special broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
He took to the airwaves on behalf of the Blood Pressure Association for the BBC Radio 4 Charity Appeal on Sunday 23 August and Thursday 27 August 2009. You can listen to the broadcast on the Radio 4 website.
Timothy (known for The Day of the Jackal, The Thirty Nine Steps and TV series Brass) told the moving story of our supporter Kathryn Howitt, who tragically lost her husband Glen to high blood pressure related disease at the age of 39.
We want to prevent tragedies like Glen's.
Please donate whatever you can to the Blood Pressure Association so that we can help more people to detect and manage high blood pressure - for life.
