A senior husband and wife hugging each other

There are 350 preventable strokes and heart attacks caused by high blood pressure every year in the UK.

We think this is unacceptable.

No one should have to lose a loved one to heart disease or to live with the disabilities caused by stroke when these things can be prevented with a simple test and straightforward treatments.

With your support we can make people aware of their blood pressure through campaigns and events like Know Your Numbers.

We can provide support to help people lower their blood pressure through our information and publications

We can work with health professionals to make sure that they are giving people the best possible care.

There are 16 million people with high blood pressure in the UK.  That’s a lot of people.  We need your help to make sure that we can reach every one of them, so that more lives can be saved from the unneccesary consequences of this condition.

  • £5 could help us to reach 10 more people
  • £10 could help us to reach 20 more people
  • £15 could help us to reach 30 more people

Please give what you can.

Thank you.

Following a stroke aged 50, no one in hospital ever explained what "blood pressure" meant or how important it was to me. The Blood Pressure Association’s information was my first step to knowing my “enemy'” and coming to terms with it.
